Mercury Towards the end of the month Mercury returns to the evening sky. Low down, as ever, in the west after sunset.
Venus Nice and bright in the west after sunset.
Mars Mars is rising in the evening now and while still small in appearance its growing closer and brighter all the time. Found "underneath" Leo this month.
Jupiter Jupiter is slowly exiting as the seasons turn but its still unmissable following the Sun and Venus to the western horizon.
Saturn Saturn has moved round to the morning sky in Virgo and rises about three hours later than Mars.
Uranus and Neptune Uranus was at opposition on Sept 26th in Pisces, Neptune is about two hours ahead of it so by 18:00 already sinking in the west
Meteors : No major showers due this month.
