The Moon

Planets
Mercury :

Venus : Out of sight probably till August/Sept and even then it will be low down.

Jupiter : Very bright low down in the south, so you may find landscape in the way.
Saturn : Heading for the far side of the Sun, so not well placed till Winter.
Uranus & Neptune : Uranus and Neptune are back to test us, Uranus in Aquarius and Neptune in Capricornus
Meteors : The peak of the Perseid shower (12th/13th) will have a fat moon as an unwelcome guest until after midnight, so stay up late! Or watch now before the moon gets too big. This observer claims one fireball before August started...
